Bird appeared to be dehydrated and was caught for exam. HR 90 bpm. There is moderately decreased skin turgor over the neck and the eyes appear mildly sunken. Cleaned debris and dead ticks from upper eyelid, right eye. No other abnormalities apparent. Gave 120 ml SC LRS. Blood collected for recheck. Suspect that this bird is not drinking. Placed in pool to make sure he is aware of the water source. He drank once before leaving the pool.
